Dubli Prices Are Competitive September 20, 2009
Posted by admin in : How it works , add a commentWhen Dubli first started I was a bit disappointed at the auction start prices. They were a bit higher than other sites such as Amazon. That meant that if you were one of the first bidders you would not find a bargain. Since that time the start prices are lower than many alternatives. If you are one of the early bidders you will still get a fair price even of no one else has yet bid. If the item has been on the site for a while you may get a great price! It becomes a game of price chicken! How low must it go before someone buys.
I myself recently bought a Creative Vado HD camcorder. The lowest price on Amazon was $112. I bought mine for $94. Now I could have waited for the price to go lower but I needed it now and the price was still lower than anywhere else so I bought.
By the way, my brother-in-law also looked at Dubli, comparing camera prices. He has done a lot of price shopping for some of the higher-end Nikons and commented that Dubli’s prices seemed better.
Dubli Adds Shopping Mall May 25, 2009
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , add a commentDubli has now added a Shopping Portal to it’s site. It is a great addition and includes many well known brands such as BestBuy, Academic SuperStore, HP Shopping, Dell Small Business, Aeropostale, Avenue, Banana Republic, and loasds more.
Here’s how it works. As a member of Dubli (it costs nothing to join) when you shop from the Dubli Portal you earn points based on the discount percentage that each merchant offers. They range from 2% to 20% of your purchase (although most are under 5%). These points are credited to your account and then you can redeem them on a gift credit card or use them to pay for future purchases.
So why not shop via the Dubli Portal. You might as well as it costs you nothing but you gain an additional discount from each reseller. Give it a try today.
If you do sign up and would like some free credits to try out the auctions, just let me know and I will send you some.
Dubli Announces Best Price Guarantee May 25, 2009
Posted by admin in : Announcements , add a commentDubli’s prices have always been good but now Dubli is guarantees it. Here’s how it works:
If you find a competitor who has the same product at a lower price than Dubli, within two weeks after you have purchased the item, Dubli will not only match their price but also credit your account with 10% of the difference. For example you purchase an item from Dubli at $100 and you find another vendor who has the same product and is advertising it for $90, Dubli will credit you the $10 difference plus an additional $1.00 for a total of $11.00. You can find out more details at the Dubli site.
I think this is great because it takes the risk out of participating in an auction. You can shop knowing that you have the option of buying at a good price no matter what the state of progression for that particular item. Of course you also stand the chance of buying something that is a GREAT deal.
I notice that just recently someone bought an iPOD Shuffle 3G silver for$45.75. Another person bought a Canon Powershot SX200 IS for $208.75. The same one is selling on Amazon for $349.95. Note that the auction started at $349. That means even if you were the first person to bid on it, you would still have bought it for 75 cents less than on Amazon.
Bargains are getting even better! December 11, 2008
Posted by admin in : How it works , add a commentWhen Dubli first started in the US I was, frankly, a bit underwhelmed at the discounts. For some weird reason people were buying things at only a slight discount from the list price. They could have bought these items cheaper at Amazon. Over time however, the discounts are growing. I don’t know the exact numbers but it looks like things are currently hovering at around 30%.
Interestingly if you go and look on the European site you will see the discounts are huge. You can see for yourself if you click on the European flag while on the Dubli site (it is next to the US flag). Some items on the Xpress auction are even down to zero! How can this be? You would think that if an item gets down to almnost zero someone would have bought it already.
What is happening is that the volume of clicks is becoming so high that there is a fast cascading effect once an item gets below a certain point.
In talking to some people at Dubli what I discovered is that previous experience shows that the growth in people using the auction seems to grow exponentially after around 4 months. It happened in Germany at 4 months and it is happening Europe wide after four month. We think it will happen in the US in four months. Since Dubli launched in the US in October that would put the upswing at around February or March. With the ongoing recession that could change but at some point it will happen.
For us business associates it means there should be a significan increase in our income in February or March, if we have been recruiting customers.
I’m excited. Got to run, got a bunch more customers to invite!

Free 3 Credit Offer Expires This Friday! October 29, 2008
Posted by admin in : Announcements, How it works , add a commentJust a reminder that the 3 free credits offer for registering with Dubli expires on October 31st. Auctions are running and people are getting bargains.
If you want to see how the auctions are running in Europe ( 4 months after launch), go to the US Dubli site, click on the European flag that is next to the US flag then change the language to English. If you click on the completed auctions link you will see the prices that people have been paying. From what we learned from Europe, the auction sales really took off after 4 months.
You will see some very low prices in the Xpress auction. Surprisingly low. This is because so many people were bidding that the price dropped really quickly. Impressive.
Sources of Income from Dubli October 18, 2008
Posted by admin in : How it works , add a commentA few people have asked me how Dubli earns it’s income and how we business associates earn our money. Some of the people I have talked to think that our income is only from recruiting new business associates. This is incorrect.
Dubli earns it’s income from the clicks on the auctions. Each click costs 80 cents. At the lowest level in the Dubli organization we earn 10% of each click or 8 cents. At the highest level it is 24%. We earn this on all of our direct customers. A direct customer is one who signed up for Dubli using our affiliate code (which may have been passed by referral).
As our organization grows we also earn a percentage of clicks from the customers of the other business associates in our organization.
We do also earn income from recruiting new business associates but this should eventually be less than the click income.
Contact me if you have any questions.

Sign-up as a Dubli Customer and get 3 Credits FREE! October 8, 2008
Posted by admin in : Announcements , add a comment
Dubli have announced that if you register with Dubli before October 31st, you will get 3 free credits!
There is no charge to sign up. The free credits will let you try some of the auctions at no risk to you. Try the “Lowest Unique Bid” auction and see how cheaply you can buy an X-Box 360. Or how about a brand new 32″ Toshiba LCD TV? Perhaps some Bobbi Brown Limited Edition make-up is more your style? Either way with the “Lowest Unique Bid” you decide how much you want to pay. If your bid is the lowest AND unique, then you win it at that price.
You can also use your three free credits on the “Zero” auction. With this auction if you are the last person to bid when the price drops to zero, then you win. All you have to do is pay the shipping.
